Britain’s Best Office Dog Entries

Over the past few weeks, we have been scouring the length and breadth of the country in search of Britain’s Best Office Dog. We thought it was time that our professional pooches received recognition for the amazing roles that they play in our daily working lives so we launched a nationwide search to bring fame to each and every one…and we were blown away by all of the fantastic entries! We then asked the public to vote and they chose their winners…..

Dog World

Raisin

Vote for Raisin via Facebook or Twitter

CC Vets

Maisie

Vote for Fish & Norman via Facebook or Twitter

“Fish and Norman are involved in all our meetings with the pet reps and, of course, love nothing better than to raid their briefcases for sample toys and treats! Fish is able to recognise a pet representative from 40 feet, not bad for a boggled eyed little Frenchie!”

Scampers

Southfield Vet

Sonic

Voting is closed for Sonic via Facebook or Twitter

Sadly we’ve had to disqualify Sonic – clearly he misread the name of competition as ‘Britain’s Best Office Hog’. He looks pretty mean so we’re hoping there won’t be any repercussions from his disqualification.

Sega Amusements

Karlie

Vote for Karlie via Facebook or Twitter

“Somewhat peeved following his disqualification, Sonic has entered Karlie. Aged 10, she is 11 years younger than her owner. She used to be able to give Sonic a run for his money but unfortunately she doesn’t move quite as quick nowadays and is happy for him to do all the work.”

Pet Practice

Mischief

Vote for Mischief via Facebook or Twitter

Vote for Max via Facebook or Twitter

“Max came from Battersea Dogs Home and can destuff a toy in less than a minute! He has appeared on the Jonathan Ross Show and even turned down an offer to be in Downton Abbey! He asks for little but always gives 100% and hopes winning will inspire others to visit their local shelter.”

Axl is the star of the show for our canine first aid training courses. He lets the students practice on him so that they learn how to locate a pulse, lets them listen to his heart with a stethoscope and even bandage him up! He “works the room” throughout the courses, dishing out kisses and hugs.”

Vote for Tia via Facebook or Twitter

“She is chief ‘meeter and greeter’ and would, given half a chance, join all our customers when they set off for a VW Campervan adventure. Tia, aka T-Bag, loves going to shows and events and is a crowd puller – she generally gets more attention than our buses and Classic Cars!”

Vanilla Splits

Vote for Alfie via Facebook or Twitter

“Alfie ‘Meerkat’ can sit up right like a Meerkat, tuck his paws into his chest and even yawn and squeak like one! He loves everybody who comes up to the office and greats them with his little dance and cuddles. Alfie spent his first 4 months of his life on the street. He deserves first place…..Simples!”

Vote for Darwin via Facebook or Twitter

“Darwin has been described as ‘a human in a dog costume’ because he is so caring. He is also extremely hilarious and goes into a barking frenzy whenever there is a round of applause. He often mopes when his owner is not in the office but he can easily be cheered up with some food… any food.”

Proporta

Harley

Vote for Harley via Facebook or Twitter

“Here’s Harley looking out for his next pal – that is, the next customer to come in! He greets everyone with a cheeky grin and always has plenty of cuddles to dish out. He’s a real star and definitely deserves to take home first place for his cheering-people-up skills alone!”

Harley Wallace

Norman

Vote for Norman via Facebook or Twitter

Wood Green

Mia

Vote for Mia via Facebook or Twitter

“Mia is the ultimate office dog. Her attendance record is 100%, although her punctuality is questionable, which is down to her owner if we’re honest. She is, without doubt, the best ice breaker at the start of meetings and smelly, doggy trumps are also useful to get meetings ended quickly!”

Packed lunches and radiators are the exclusive property of Edith.”

Dowling Jones & Stone

International Entries

We also received two gorgeous entries from across the pond which unfortunately aren’t allowed to enter as the dogs have to actually be based in Britain. They were too cute not to put up on the website though and maybe next year we’ll go international!
