The what, why and how of rel=author [infographic]

Authorship, author rank, that author thing Google did… Whatever you want to call it, the rel=author tag has been the subject of many a blog over the past six to twelve months.

Whilst most of these are really useful and explain in great detail the inner workings of the tag, I’ve personally found it difficult to pull out the three main things you need to know about it from these lengthy posts.

Let’s face it – all you really need to know (and in fact have time to consume) is the basics of it all. So here they are, laid out for you on an authorship-based plate… The what, why and how of rel=author. Enjoy!

  1. Nice work, Deborah. I was just explaining the rel=author to one of our clients, and had to trudge through the rather unhelpful information out there! Wish I would have seen your infographic yesterday! Anyway, thanks for the great work!

    • Hi Ron

Thanks for taking the time to look at our infographic and for your kind words! I’m so glad we could be of use and that the infographic helped explain rel=author. I found it hard to find the information I needed from a lot of the stuff out there too, which provided the impetus to create this – so I’m pleased it achieved its goal.

      Thanks again,
      Deborah
