Pinterest: perfect for Christmas shopping

Ah Christmas. It’s the most wonderful time of the year – or at least that’s what the famous carol from the late Andy Williams will have you believe.

In reality, however, we’re actually coming towards the time where anyone in a relationship begins to develop mild anxiety attacks about what to get their other half for Christmas this year.

No matter how long you’ve been with your partner, the pressure to deliver that perfect gift never dies down. It has to be original yet useful, classy yet within your price range, and the worst thing of all is that you’re expected to know exactly what to get without any help.

However, this year could be a lot easier – if your partner is on Pinterest

New research from BizrateInsights has indicated that 70 per cent of Pinterest users signed up to the website primarily to search for items to buy themselves. What’s more, 69 per cent of those polled said they had bought or are planning to buy an item which they first saw on Pinterest.

So what are you waiting for guys and girls? If you’re out of ideas for your partners’ present, have a quick peek at their pinboards and find an awesome product which they haven’t got around to buying yet!

If you’re a business owner looking to get your product under people’s Christmas trees this year, these stats suggest you could do a lot worse than boost your presence on Pinterest.
